This Privacy Policy explains how Zeal Social Management ("Zeal," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit zealsocial.ca (the "Site"), work with us as a client, model, or creative, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").
If you're located outside Canada, please still read Sections 8 and 9 below, which describe additional rights that may apply to you.
We collect different information depending on how you interact with us:
a) Account information. If you create a client account or log into the client portal, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. Staff accounts collect the same, plus an optional username.
b) Content you upload or that we create for you. If you're a client, the photos and videos in your private gallery (and any you upload) are stored on your account. If you're a model or creative on our roster, your profile photos, videos, and bio information are stored to build your public profile page.
c) Communications.
d) Usage and log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance purposes.
e) Cookies. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie (via our authentication system) to keep you logged in, and a local preference to remember your light/dark mode choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that reports aggregate visit statistics without tracking individuals across other websites or setting tracking cookies.
f) Payment information. We do not collect or store credit card or banking details on this Site. Orders and bookings are followed up with a manual invoice through Stripe's hosted invoicing, so your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe, not by us.

Each of these providers processes information on our behalf and under their own privacy/security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Zeal or others.
We keep account and content information for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the Services. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes (for example, records of past correspondence or transactions).
We're based in Canada, and our service providers (listed in Section 5) may store or process data in Canada, the United States, or elsewhere. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer to protect your information consistent with this Policy.

Our Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage, secure hosting infrastructure, and access controls limiting who on our team can view client content. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Our Site may link to third-party websites (such as a model's booking calendar or our Instagram page). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — please review their own privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes affecting how we handle your personal information will be communicated via the Site or, where appropriate, by email.
